The Head of the DAVID
Sirens echo through the historic center of the Tuscan city of Florence. One of the most beautiful cities in the world, and mostly tranquil over the past few hundred years since the turbulent Golden Age of the city at the dawn of the Renaissance.
Four guards from the Galleria dell'Accademia, are currently recovering at the nearby Ospedale Santa Maria Nuova after inhaling a gas mixed with chloroform that rendered them unconscious. They awoke to the news that the gallery's main piece, Michelangelo's Statue of David, had been beheaded. The massive, priceless statue had been cut crisply and clearly as if it had been stricken right from it's shoulders as it's subject, David had done to Goliath. The statue is priceless, and could never be sold on the open market, which leads to speculation that only one group could have been involved... El Berrigano Enterprises!
